Barbara Orienti - Artist Statement
I am aware and fascinated by the power that photography holds in our lives. With a photograph we can capture a unique and indelible moment in time, giving the photographer the opportunity to hold the essence and uniqueness of an unrepeatable event within their grasp.
Barbara is a Freelance Photographer living in Rome, Italy. Her photographic interests relate to people, their stories, the diversity of each individual and the representation of reality in everyday life.

Glossy photos are printed on coated paper with a very smooth, shiny reflective surface. They have a high-contrast appearance and look slick to the touch when not under glass.
Matte photos have a very smooth, non-glare finish. Matte paper has a lower-contrast when printed and is often used to enhance the texture of a print.
Lustre is often considered the finish "between" matte and glossy, and has a slight gloss with a subtle, pearl-like texture. Lustre paper has a deeper color-saturization than matte as well as a higher contrast and is a thicker grade paper.
